Getting Ready for High School

Preparation for high school starts now! The work habits and study skills that students learn and develop at Zamboni are practice for high school and beyond. Students' grades, test scores, and teacher recommendations from 8th grade will all be used in determining the classes that they take as a freshman in high school. In order to graduate from Paramount High School, students must take and pass the following classes:
Did you know???
  • In high school, you must earn a grade of "A," "B," "C," or "D" in order to pass and receive credit for a class. If you do not pass, you must re-take the class in order to receive credit.
  • The athletic GPA eligibility is 2.0. This means that, regardless of how good of an athlete you are, you must be earning an average grade of "C" in all your classes in order to be on a sports team. There are no exceptions!
  • The majority of colleges and universities expect you to earn a grade of "C" or higher in all of your classes.
