  2. Identifying and practicing the principle of balance in ar
7th and 8th Grade Beginning Art

Instructional time focuses on:
  1. Identifying, describing, using, and creating images with all of the seven elements of art - line, shape, value, form, color, texture and perspective
  2. Identifying, describing, using, and creating images with the principles of design
  3. Using different mediums, such as pencil, colored pencils, oil pastels and ink to create artwork
8th Grade Intermediate Art

Instructional time focuses on:
  1. Reviewing, discussing, and creating artwork with new mediums, such as watercolor paint, acrylic paint, black ink, and pastels
  2. Reviewing and creating artwork with the seven elements of art, principles of design, portraits, landscapes, and animals
  3. Discussing and using graphic design ideas to create the yearbook cover and the 8th Grade t-shirt design
